The Recovery Point Objective of your company refers to your offsite data storage rotation or the age of your backed-up data that must be recovered in order for operations in your business to run, or continue, as normal. From the moment when disaster strikes, to the point when you can no longer continue operations without that data, is essentially your Recovery Point Objective.

Current-generation LTO drives are able to read tapes from two generations prior and are able to write to tapes from the prior generation, so you know that your investment is for the long run.”

A clean offsite copy of data is a must if your servers get infected.

Offsite collections are focused around your rotation schedule. Data is stored in thickly insulated steel canisters, transported by vehicles with tracking. Unique numbered seals provide a record of the canister movement.
